Faciliter la réinsertion sociale d’hommes en situation d’itinérance

Il y avait les gars de l’Accueil Bonneau. Il y avait Alvéole, une entreprise d’apiculture urbaine. Puis, il y avait les partenaires: METRO, des artisans et des commerçants locaux socialement responsables qui ont rapidement souhaité s’associer à l’initiative. De la combinaison de ces forces est né le Miel de Bonneau, un projet audacieux et rassembleur de réinsertion sociale
L’objectif premier de ce projet novateur, lancé il y a quatre ans par l’initiative d’Yves Ménard, avocat criminaliste et passionné d’apiculture, est d’accroître le bien-être des personnes fréquentant l’Accueil Bonneau, de développer leurs compétences socioprofessionnelles et de les amener à développer un sentiment d’appartenance à leur communauté à travers des accomplissements tangibles et positifs.
Yves Ménard fait don de quatre premières ruches qui seront installées sur le toit de l’Accueil Bonneau. Puis, Alvéole se joint rapidement au projet, souhaitant lui donner de l’ampleur et partager ses connaissances en apiculture urbaine. Puis METRO, partenaire de longue date de l’Accueil Bonneau, s’intéresse au projet et met la main à la pâte pour la commercialisation et la vente.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner row_type= »row » type= »full_width » use_row_as_full_screen_section_slide= »no » text_align= »left » css_animation= » »][vc_column_inner width= »1/2″][vc_column_text]Encadrés par les intervenants de l’Accueil Bonneau, ils travaillent avec les formateurs d’Alvéole sur chacune des phases de production et de mise en marché du miel. Les apprentis apiculteurs ont l’opportunité d’apprendre et de s’impliquer dans l’entretien des ruches, dans le processus de fabrication du miel, en plus de comprendre les procédés de mise en marché, de distribution et de ventes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width= »1/2″]
Depuis les quatre dernières années, plus de 40 participants ont ainsi été initiés à l'apiculture urbaine.
Cette expérience initie également les participants aux enjeux environnementaux et sociaux, tout en nécessitant un apprentissage, de l’écoute et un travail d’équipe.
